Technotron wins contract for control cabinets for the New Sea Lock Terneuzen.

We are pleased to inform you that Technotron will be producing and supplying all the drive and control cabinets for the “NST” project.
The New Lock Terneuzen is one of the largest sea locks in the world, which was issued to  “De Sassevaart” on behalf of the Flemish-Dutch Schelde Consortium.
The lock complex at Terneuzen is the gateway to the ports of Terneuzen and Ghent and provides a shipping connection between the Netherlands, Belgium and France. The New Lock provides better access and smoother flow of the increasing shipping traffic, for both inland and seagoing vessels. Flanders and the Netherlands can both count on a considerable economic boost due to the arrival of the New Lock and the improved infrastructure as a result.
The order for the production and delivery of the drive and control cabinets has been issued by sub contractor  Engie Infra & Mobility, now Equans, which is responsible for the complete control and infrastructure of the entire new lock.
The project contains about 270 control cabinets and several main distribution panels needed for this project. This order follows an earlier order for production and delivey of all control cabinets for the renovation of the two swing bridges of the Ghent-Terneuzen canal, the DKGT project.
The New Sealock project gives Technotron more than 1.5 years of work.
