Control cabinets for swing bridges Canal Ghent Terneuzen (DKGT) project completed.

16 December 2021

The production of the control cabinets for the renovation of the swing bridges over the Ghent – Terneuzen canal has been completed.

The Ghent-Terneuzen Canal Bridge project includes the modernization of the technical installations and remote control
of two swing bridges in the southernmost tip of Zeeuws-Vlaanderen: the Sluiskil swing bridge and the Sas van Gent swing bridge.
The swing bridges were part of a traditional UAV-GC project in which five objects have already been tackled.
In less than 1 year, Technotron has produced and delivered approximately 160 controls and distribution cabinets.
During this December month, the last activities were completed.
It was a project that was focused on intensive collaboration and a high degree of flexibility between Engie Infra & Mobility,
Rijkswaterstaat and Technotron. In order to be able to meet the constantly changing time schedules, production often had to be carried out

during the ongoing engineering phase. This naturally requires a high degree of improvisation capacity and a flexible attitude from and to all parties.
Despite the tight time schedule, our high quality standard has remained constant without any concessions.
With this project Technotron has demonstrated that it can provide a significant added value within narrow time schedules.
